This policy explains which personal data Wingman’s website handles, why, with whom and how you can exercise your rights under Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection.

The essentials

The public website has no analytics, third-party advertising, visitor accounts or tracking cookies. It does not store preferences, forms or conversations in your browser’s persistent storage.

What we handle and why

Email and WhatsApp contact

If you contact us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, company, email, phone and message. We use it to answer your inquiry and, if requested, prepare a proposal. The WhatsApp widget lets you edit a message locally. Opening WhatsApp places the text in a link to Meta’s service; you confirm sending it in that application.

Brief builder

The brief tool processes text in your browser. It does not send it to Wingman, Grupo Danec or an AI provider. You can download or copy it. The email button opens the brief in your email application, addressed to hola@wingmanec.com. It is not sent automatically.

AI assistant

The assistant uses OpenRouter and the configured model provider. Sending a question transmits its text and the visible conversation history. Do not share sensitive data. Wingman does not store these conversations in a database. Answers are informational. The assistant is not a person, cannot access Danec’s internal systems, does not make decisions about you and does not create profiles. To limit abuse, the server keeps a hashed IP address in memory for one minute. It is not linked to your identity or retained.

When subscriptions are available and you subscribe, we keep your email, subscription status and evidence of consent: date, time, source page and the exact version of the consent text. The consent box is never preselected. A confirmation link must be opened before newsletters are sent. Every email includes an immediate one-click unsubscribe link. You may also request removal at hola@wingmanec.com.

Blog

Reading the blog does not require personal data. Articles are prepared with AI assistance, then reviewed and approved by Wingman’s team.

Technical logs

The hosting provider processes request logs, including IP address, browser, path and time, to deliver pages and protect the service.

Legal basis

Contact information is handled to respond to your request and carry out requested precontractual steps. Newsletter subscriptions rely on consent, which can be withdrawn without affecting earlier processing. Technical logs support our legitimate interest in website security.

Providers and international transfers

We do not sell your data. The services used for the relevant features are Vercel for hosting; OpenRouter and the configured model provider for AI answers; Supabase for newsletter and blog data; Resend for newsletter email; fal.ai for blog images without personal data; Google for email; and Meta for WhatsApp if you choose that channel. Some providers operate in the United States, and using these features may involve international data transfers.

Retention

Contact messages are retained while we respond and for up to 12 months after the last exchange. Contractual relationships follow applicable legal periods. Newsletter data is kept while the subscription remains active. After unsubscribe, only the email exclusion entry and consent record are retained to prevent further sends and document authorization. Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 30 days.

Cookies

Public pages do not use cookies. The internal administration panel (/admin) uses strictly necessary session cookies for authorized staff. They are not used for analytics or advertising, so the site does not display a cookie banner.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, updating, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, freedom from decisions based solely on automated assessments, and withdrawal of consent. Email hola@wingmanec.com with the subject “Data protection”. We respond within 15 days. If dissatisfied, you may file a complaint with Ecuador’s Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales at spdp.gob.ec.

If you do not provide data

Sharing information is voluntary. Without it, we cannot respond through that channel or send the newsletter. Inaccurate information may prevent our reply from reaching you.

Security

The public website uses HTTPS and security headers. Newsletter access is restricted to authorized staff through row-level permissions when that service is enabled. The visitor’s browser never receives private access keys.

External links

Grupo Danec, WhatsApp and editorial sources are independent services with their own privacy conditions.

Changes

When data processing changes, we update this policy and its date. Changes affecting the newsletter are communicated by email beforehand. See also the terms of use.
